We aim to promote knowledge, enjoyment & satisfaction gained from the art of bonsai with functions available to members & guests.

MONTHLY MEETINGS
Second Tuesday of each month (except January) 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the "Legends Function Room" at Mingara Recreation Club (address above). Typically, each month an experienced bonsai artist demonstrates a different aspect of bonsai. All welcome - $2 admission.

BONSAI SHOW
Our 2020 Annual Show (12th & 13th September) will be held in "The Showroom" at the Mingara Recreation Club. Approximatly 150 beautiful bonsai will be displayed, along with continuous demonstrations, and a sales area for trees, handmade pots, soil substrates and other bonsai related material.

MONTHLY COMPETITION
A Monthly Bench Competition provides members an opportunity to display trees. Arranged in progressive levels; Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. Additionally there are four special categories; Kindergarten, Mini, Style, Kusamono and Suiseki.

MONTHLY WORKSHOPS - (OPEN TO PUBLIC)
Refer to our 2020 calendar for workshops held in March, May, June, July, August & October in the Legends Function Room, Mingara Recreation Club from 9am to 12pm. Come and go as you please, bring some trees to work on or get an opinion how they can be improved or any other bonsai related advice. All welcome, admission gold coin donation.

GUEST DEMONSTRATIONS & WORKSHOPS - (ENTRY BY PAID ADMISSION)
Refer to our 2020 calendar for details of five (5) full day demonstration / workshop sessions with five of the top Australian bonsai artists (Doug Harris, Andrew Sellman, Evan Marsh, Hugh Grant and Andew Edge). These events are open to members and public but subject to pre-paid entry.

CLASSES
Courses (run over 6 weeks) help bonsai artists progress through the ranks from beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. These lessons are open to members and the public but are subject to prior booking. The Stage 1 course will be run twice during the year, whereas the Stage 2 and Stage 3 courses will only run once per year.

LIBRARY
Bonsai books, magazines, and videos are available for members to borrow for one month.

SALES TABLE
The club has a “sales table” at each monthly meeting where an assortment of bonsai supplies (plants, pots, wire, cut paste etc) are typically available for sale. Club badges and embroidered polo shirts may also be purchased.

MONTHLY MAGAZINE
Members receive an excellent monthly magazine 'Bonsai Central Coast’ which includes bonsai news, upcoming events, jobs for the month and other articles of interest.
